Delhi Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena has approved the proposal to send the complaint received by DTC to the CBI regarding gross irregularities/corruption in the purchase of 1000 low-floor buses. The LG office said that the Chief Secretary's proposal has been approved by the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi. A complaint addressed to Saxena in June this year claimed that the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) had "pre-planned" appointed the transport minister as the chairman of the committee constituted for tendering and procurement of buses.
