The Monty Hall Problem is a famous brain teaser puzzle first proposed in 1975. However, it didn't become famous until 1990 when it appeared in a "Parade" magazine column by Marilyn vos Savant. Her answer was met with a worldwide backlash, including PhD statisticians. Why the heated debates? Because of an unstated assumption. It shows why options traders must understand their assumptions.
