Cleveland weather forecast: A cold fall Sunday morning

Cleveland weather forecast: Sunday, October 8. A large-scale area of low pressure continues to swirl off to our north (along with reinforcing help from a post-tropical storm!) and our weather pattern will continue to be on the chilly side with a gusty wind coming across our warm lake water. The result will be more of the same weather-wise with sunshine mixed with clouds and lake effect rain. In terms of the lake rain, areal coverage has backed off a bit early this Sunday, but will likely reorganize this afternoon into the evening as winds come into better alignment across the lake. So, expect on and off lake rain, especially east of Cleveland with the potential for more bouts of heavier rain at times later today out in the "snowbelt". For the rest of us it's a chilly day with highs struggling to push into the low 50s. Overnight lows will once again dip into the 30s outside of the snowbelt with 40s to near 50 expected where the clouds and lake rain sticks around. Lake rain will linger into Monday before we shift this low to the north a bit Tuesday keeping us dry. Our next storm system will then push in later this week bringing a temporary warm-up with more soaking rainfall and wind expected.
