Rhythm Heaven Custom Remix - Stronger Than You (Steven Universe - Audio Only)

Rhythm Heaven Custom Remix - Stronger Than You (Steven Universe - Audio Only)

This remix is all about working together as one. Think you've got the confidence to face this fusion of different games? Only one way to find out! (No practice) Games used: Love Rap Exhibition Match Built to Scale Packing Pests Double Date Fork Lifter Launch Party Manzai Birds Note: I accidentally lost the program I had for making videos (don't ask) so the next remixes I make will just have these still pictures... Making of spoilers (and possible show spoilers): I actually had the idea for this one for a long time, since before I really knew about Megamix. Although a lot of ideas were set from back then, I still played around with it in chrislo27's editor, and toyed around with using games other than ones just found in Fever. In the end I decided to limit it to Fever-only games, as really, this is the first remix I ever conceived. I did end up adding Manzai birds though. Anyway, the game choice here is all about a sense of togetherness and confidence. I knew from the start that Love Rap had to be the "main game" here, as I felt it fit the confidence idea, and was just the right tempo to match the song as well. I also found Double Date's football rhythms to match the "lo-o-o-ove" chorus perfectly, with bonus points since the game involves characters going on a date. I saw it as the "secondary game" behind Love Rap, but perhaps the "main game" since it accompanies the chorus, and ends the remix. Speaking of, although I had a slightly complex back-and-forth with Double Date, Packing Pests, and Fork Lifter, I changed the final repeat of the chorus to only be Double Date, as I thought that would be a nice way of showing that you got through the hard part, and can now chill through to the end. Some other random notes include Widgets being a direct reference to fusion, Exhibition Match referencing Garnet's "try to hit me" taunt, Packing Pests and Fork Lifter referencing Garnet's use of her hands, and Manzai Birds referencing the "Conversation" line. Oh, and Launch Party just references that the characters were in space during the show's sequence. In terms of matching the song's form, I very much tried to match the song's arc. In the halfway point, I had the gameplay go "silent" as some of the more important lyrics are sung. This leads into a love rap part that I tried to make very challenging, but still fair. After getting past the "hardest" part of the remix, the game and the song return to familiar territory (but with a surprise twist with Manzai birds.) Besides that, generally, I had simple gameplay during the simpler parts, and the most "complex" part being the chorus. Note that the first time the chorus plays, it's missing the "and it's stronger than you" line. I made sure to have a stripped-down version of Fork Lifter there, only having the "complete" version of it in the reprise of the chorus at the end, where "Stronger than you" is finally sung. And finally, as I mentioned before, it all caps off with Double Date by itself, whose rhythms are similar to what Packing Pests was doing (the only difference being it not using the AB buttons).
