NO INTERVENTION Turkey has sent additional troops to the Turkish-Syrian border as fighting in the north of Aleppo intensifies. Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu insisted that the Turkish army doesn’t plan to enter Syria unless it is directly attacked.The government has ordered its military to tighten security along its border with Syria. ARMY TRAIN CRASH 17 people have been killed after a train carrying military personnel derailed on Thursday in the Pakistani province of Punjab. The train was crossing a bridge when the bridge collapsed and caused the train to fall into the Chanawan Canal. 80 passengers have been rescued. CRIMINAL TRIBUNAL Malaysia plans to request an international tribunal to investigate the shooting down of flight MH17 in July last year. It hopes to present the proposal at a UN Security Council meeting later this month. The Malaysia Airlines plane was shot down in eastern Ukraine in land seized by pro-Russian separatists. All 298 people on board died. SOLAR IMPULSE BREAKS RECORD The Solar Impulse 2 is set to land in Hawaii at 14:30 GMT on Friday. The solar powered plane took off from Japan nearly five days ago. Pilot Andre Borschberg set a new world record on Wednesday for longest non-stop solo flight after flying 76 hours straight over the Pacific Ocean.
