Mt Fuji via Fujinomiya Trail Winter Ascent (Late April)

Conditions to climb Fuji were just too perfect to pass up the opportunity. Suddenly set off from Tokyo to Fujinomiya on the 27th April. Didn't have any plan of attack. Had to get a taxi (about £70) to the beginning of the trail because buses were not in operation yet. The road up to the beginning of the trail was opening that day, which meant my start time of the climb ended up being around 1130. Hardly anyone was making the ascent that day and we probably only saw 5 people make it to the top including ourselves. There were a few people who stopped at earlier stations but that was it. A lovely quiet climb on one of the most popular mountains in the world. It was very special meeting Anton on my ascent, had a wonderful time, and he was lovely enough to give me a lift back to my hostel as I had no transport.
