Training verbal cues for Sit, Down & Stand

Once your puppy can Sit, Down and Stand following a hand signal or food lure it’s time to add the verbal cue. 1.Say the cue ONCE 2.Then follow with the hand signal / lure 3.Mark “YES” and feed a treat for getting into the position. 4. Practise all the different combinations. Sit from stand, down to sit, down to stand. Stand to down. Sit to down. Etc Most important top tips: ONLY SAY THE WORD ONCE Don’t repeat “sit sit sit sit” Keep your sessions short and sweet especially with young pups. 1-2 mins at a time is plenty!
