Colin Powell arrives in Paris for talks on Balkans

Exteriors of hotel STORYLINE: U-S Secretary of State Colin Powell arrived in Paris on Wednesday for talks with his European counterparts on the situation in the Balkans. Powell was scheduled to hold diplomatic meetings with his French, Russian and British counterparts who are also members of the in the so-called contact group of nations that play a key role in Balkan diplomacy. Powell was expected to leave Paris on Thursday and travel to Macedonia and Bosnia. He is expected to meet with U-S troops stationed in Bosnia. The trip is Powell's third abroad since taking office under the administration of U-S President George W. Bush.
