My Thoughts on the Brutal Attack on Salman Rushdie

Acclaimed novelist Salman Rushdie was attacked yesterday at an event in New York. He's alive and the assailant has been apprehended (Update: he was just charged with attempted murder and assault - he has pleaded not guilty), but Rushdie is on a ventilator and unable to speak (Update: Rushdie has been taken off a ventilator and is now able to speak). He was stabbed in the neck and abdomen and also sustained injuries to his eye and arm. There will be more news on Rushdie and what motivated his assailant in the coming days, but this video is my raw initial reaction to this tragic and appalling attack.
