Louis van Gaal told media on Tuesday that the Dutch football association (KNVB) have made the correct decision in offering him a chance to coach the Netherlands for a third time. The 70-year-old van Gaal was appointed earlier this month and succeeds Frank de Boer, who resigned from the role after the Netherlands were knocked out of UEFA Euro 2020 by the Czech Republic in the round of 16. Much of de Boer's Euro 2020 squad will be selected for September's three World Cup qualifying matches - against Norway, Montenegro and Turkey - as van Gaal has not had time to scout potential new players.
