Tucker Carlson Says Republican Leader Is Somehow A "Puppet" Of The Left

Tucker Carlson is not happy about the leaked audio from Kevin McCarthy, and he has launched a new conspiracy theory to help him better cope with what's happening. Tucker suggested on his show this week that Kevin McCarthy was somehow a "puppet" of the Left because he thought it would be a good idea for certain Republicans to be kicked off of Twitter. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins explains what's happening.   Link - https://www.salon.com/2022/04/27/carl... Tucker Carlson now believes that Kevin McCarthy, the Republican House minority leader is somehow a puppet of the left. During a broadcast this week, Fox news host Tucker Carlson actually suggested that not just McCarthy by the way, but also possibly Elise Stefanik, right? A hardcore Trump supporter who was elevated in the House after they kicked Liz Cheney outta leadership. This is what Carlson had to say. Kevin McCarthy of California told his good friend, Liz Cheney that he hopes the social media companies would censor more conservative Republicans in Congress. Donald Trump, the sitting president had already been silenced by those companies but McCarthy wanted the tech oligarch to do more. McCarthy in private sounds like an MSNBC contributor. And then Salon reports, Carlson warned conservatives to quote, get their act together or McCarthy or quote, one of his liberal allies like Elise Stefanik is likely to be House speaker next year. He continued and said quote, that would mean we would have a Republican Congress led by a puppet of the Democratic party. Now I ask you this Tucker, how many of these Republicans have been punished for what happened after January 6th? How many Republicans in the House of Representatives has Kevin McCarthy actively punished? The answer is two. First and most obvious Liz Cheney kicked outta leadership. So even though he was buddy buddy with Liz Cheney, and as you and Matt Gaetz say he was protecting Liz Cheney, he ultimately punished her. So there's that. The other Republican that has been not even punished, but given a good talking to since January 6th was Madison Cawthorn after he made the claim about cocaine fueled sex orgies with Republican lawmakers, which has nothing to do with January 6th. But he is the only Republican that, you know, got called out for saying very stupid things. So in reality, the only Republican that's been punished since January 6th is Liz Cheney. That's it. She is the only one. So what the hell are you talking about that McCarthy is somehow some kind of puppet of the Democrats? McCarthy has stood in stark opposition to everything the Democrats have tried to do for the past 15 months. But you see folks in today's Republican party that's not good enough. It's not good enough to oppose every single thing that the Democrats do. It's no longer good enough to tow the line for the entire Republican party and vote for all the horrible things Republicans like to vote for. It's not enough to be a complete obstructionist and make president Biden seem like he can't get anything done. You also have to be loyal to Donald Trump and his little acolytes over there in the House of Representatives. And that apparently is McCarthy sin even though all he did was say to people like, hey, I don't like what they're doing. Hey, I wish they were, you know, banned from Twitter. He didn't do anything to them, Tucker. But honestly, I'm not gonna stop you from trying to tear the Republican party apart. Let's see it happen because the Republicans aren't gonna be the ones that benefit from it. So if you wanna keep pushing this, you know, ridiculous talking point about Kevin McCarthy, I'm not gonna stop you. Not gonna call you out for it either. Go ahead, tear your own party apart because the Democrats only stand to benefit from a Republican civil war.
