Today well be reviewing Part Number D13501. This is a Class 2 Derale Series 8000, Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit with barb inlets. This is going to help prolong the life of your transmission. Its really going to help improve the overall performance. The transmission cooler is going to prevent heat related failures. It has furnace-brazed aluminum construction and a inch wide turbulator plate for more efficient cooling.Its going to include the complete mounting kit, the OEM spec hose; its going to measure four feet in total length. Stainless steel clamps and the Insta-dapt radiator adaptor. Its also got the nylon mounting attachments. This is recommended for small to midsize trucks and SUVs. The inlets on top have a nice rubber coating on it. Thats just a protector; you can pull that off when youre ready to install, but theyre going to have 11/32 of an inch hose barb.The overall dimensions measuring from edge-to-edge its going to give us an overall width of right at 11 inches, an overall height of 5 of an inch. Then when we measure the depth, measuring from edge-to-edge its going to give us a measurement of of an inch deep. The distance that we have between our inlets, measuring center-on-center is going to measure 10 of an inch. Then you can see that we have two mounting holes on the bottom at each side and two up top on each side.If we measure the distance, so up and down between those holes its going to give us a measurement of 4 inch tall. The distance center-on-center between the two inner holes is going to give us a measurement of 5 of an inch. Were measuring center-on-center from the two outer holes is going to measure 6 of an inch. Again, that inside-to-inside hole actually is going to measure center-on-center 5 inches. Youre going to have 5 inch center-on-center inside hole, 6 of an inch center-on-center outside holes.Please keep in mind that the Derale Insta-dapt radiator adaptor is going to fit most vehicles with 5/16 of an inch transmission lines, but not all of them. In some cases additional fittings or alterations of the OEM lines or hoses may be required for a correct install.Thats going to do it for todays review of Part Number D13501.
