Bottle gourd and spinach soup is a great snack for those who are either on diet or wants to lower their cholesterol. It is good to be served to those who have diabetes and kidney problems in their home. You can have this soup in the evening with a brown bread .It will make you feel full as it had bottle gourd in it which contains lots of fiber. This way you will land up having a light dinner and wont starve while reducing weight. It also acts an immunity booster. ******************************************************************************************************* Ingredients : Chopped Spinach - 1 cup Bottle guard / (lauki) - 1/2 cup Pepper powder 1/4 teaspoon Water - 1 and 1/2 cup Salt - As per taste Ghee - 1 teaspoon Chopped garlic - 2 or 3 Cumin seeds - 1/4 teaspoon Mustard seeds 1/4 teaspoon ******************************************************************************************************* Method : 1. Wash spinach and add chopped bottle gourd/ lauki / doodhi in it. 2. Take a large pan and add 2 cups water in it. Add the spinach and bottle gourds and boil it for five minutes .Wait for the vegetables to cool down a bit. 3. Do not throw the water of spinach and bottle gourd. Pour it whole in mixer and grind till it is smooth. 4. Take a pan and add little 1tsp. of butter and cumin seeds when hot. 5. Add the blended mixture and add salt and black pepper in it. 6.
