Destination Button This is your "Destination" screen. It displays when you press the DESTINATION button. Using the multi-function controller, move among the preferred types of destinations. Choose one that you've highlighted by pressing ENTER. "Street Address" searches for a location by its address. "Places" searches for a destination from various categories of businesses or locations. "Home" searches for a route from the current location to the stored home destination. When selecting "Home" for the first time, you will be asked to store the home location. "Address Book" calls up a destination you have previously stored. "Previous Destinations" searches for a location you've used the Navigation System to reach in the past. "Delete Destination" deletes the currently set destination. There are many other types of destination search capabilities, such as those stored by phone number. It can also reveal destinations according to intersection or freeway entrance and exit points. To find routes using any of these, you will need to use the screen keypad. Here is an example of how to use the multi-function controller and your display keypad to locate a street address: Highlight "Street Address" using your controller. Press ENTER to begin, and a numeric keypad will be displayed. Fill in the house number, then highlight "OK" and press ENTER. If you do not know the house number, press the "No House Number" option to continue. Then type in the name of the street you seek. When finished, highlight "List" and press ENTER to display a list of cities. Select your intended destination and a map will appear with the option to start Route Guidance. Now a CALCULATE ROUTE screen will appear. It will enable you to start route guidance, or to display three other possible route options. You can also confirm a route or add points of interest along the way. Unless other selections are made, after several seconds the system will automatically start route guidance.
