Today, we are going to review part number C56208. This is the Curt T-connector vehicle wiring harness with the 4-pole flat trailer connector. This is a custom fit design part. It is designed to fit the Jeep Cherokee without the factory 7-way, starting in 2014. This part will provide a 4-way flat trailer connector at the back of your vehicle to power your trailer's signal lights. It does connect quickly and easily. Basically you'd just plug in these T-connectors to the connection points behind the tail lights on your vehicle and then you would run this hot lead to the battery to supply the power to this converter. It does include this powered taillight converter that will connect directly to the battery, and it helps to avoid overloading your vehicle's electrical system by getting the power right directly from the battery. It is constructed using the Surface-Mount Technology or SMT for consistent reliable performance. Curt builds each of their tail light converters using the SMT technology. This method of construction involves soldering the electronic components directly to the surface of a printed circuit board. That will eliminate the need for leads, which are used in the older through-the-hole technology. The result is you will get a circuit board that is smaller, yet provides more routing area and that offers superior performance, reliability and durability. It does come up with all the parts pictured here, the dust cap to go on your 4-way flat connector. It comes with the ties to attach all the wiring down, keep them from dangling. It comes with the double-face tape that can be used to attach your converter to a nice place on your vehicle. It comes with the in-line fuse connector, the fuse, two-butt connectors, a ring connector and a self-tapping screw for ground. Basically when you go to install this, you'd go behind your taillights, this T-connector with the yellow wire in it that would be for your driver side. You'd just unplug your taillight connection. Plug the end that was plugged in your taillight to the other end. Then, on the driver side, you will have this white wire with the ring terminal, and that needs to be grounded. You take this, included self-tapping screw, put it through there, ground it to a nice clean surface on your vehicle. If you go to your passenger side, that's one with the green wire, the T-connector with the green wire for the passenger side, same way. You unplug your tail light, plug this in, plug the connection that was in your tail light to this, and then what youll want to do is this wire, the black wire that's coming out of the converter that is the one that's going to be run to the battery to the front of your car.Basically you will take this length of wire that is included. You will attach the end of this power wire to the other end using the included butt connectors. Then run the wire to the front of the vehicle with the other end. You will use a butt connector and connect it to one end of this in-line fuse holder, just like that. On the other end of this, you would take the ring terminal and attach it to there and then attach that to the battery in the front of your vehicle. Once that's all installed, you'll open up the cap, take your 10 amp fuse. Go ahead and install it in there, put the cap back on there and then your 4-way would be stored at the back of your vehicle. Once that's all connected, you should be ready to go and youd have a 4-way flat at the rear of your vehicle to be able to plug into your trailer. That should do it. It does come with a limited one-year warranty. That should do it for the review on Part number C56208, the Curt T-Connector vehicle wiring harness with the 4-pole flat trailer connector. .
