A new report out yesterday says that George Santos operating under one of his aliases, uh, Anthony Dul back in 2016, swindled a disabled veteran out of $3,000 that Dul slash Santos had raised for the disabled Veterans Service dog to receive life saving treatment for a tumor. Here's what happened. According to this, uh, uh, veteran, he was living on the streets, living in a tent with his service dog named Sapphire. It was May of 2016, took the dog to the vet. The vet tells him, Hey, the dog has a tumor. If you do not get the tumor removed, the dog will die. And again, this was, this man's service dog had been with him for 10 years, given to him via Veterans Charity. So the Vet Tech pulls him aside after he says, I, I, obviously I can't pay for this. I don't have the money. Pulls him aside and says, I know somebody that might be able to help. So he puts him in touch with Anthony Alder, a k a George Santos, who was at the time running a, uh, charity, alleged charity, uh, called Friends of Pets United. So the two got in touch, and Santos set up a GoFundMe for the dog Sapphire, where they promptly raised more than $3,000. Wonderful, right? Everybody came together to help a disabled veteran and his dying service dog so that the dog could stay alive. And then that's when the veteran says things started to get very weird. According to the story, Santos then told the veteran, Hey, you can't go to the vet's office. You initially went to, you need to come to this little hole in the wall place in Queens. You know, I've, I've got credit there. He says, cuz we, we do a lot of business with him. So he wasn't happy, but he is like, okay, whatever. I'll do it. I wanna save the dog's life. I'll do whatever I need to do. He goes to the vet's office in Queens that he described as a bit of a hole in wall, but said it still looked legit. And then the vet tells him, yeah, we can't operate on that tumor. We, we can't do anything about it. So the man reaches out again to Santos and says, Hey, this place you've sent me to, uh, says that they can't do this surgery to save my dog's life. You know, the other place I was at? They, they can, they will. So, you know, let's figure out how to pay that. And Santos, a k a Dal said, no. They say it's inoperable. So we're gonna take the more than $3,000 we raised and we're gonna use it for other animals. But you know what? We give you a little bit to make sure that Sapphire is as, as comfortable as possible. Still never received a dime. And eventually, after only a couple, uh, uh, Communications, Santos Alder stopped responding altogether. And in January of 2017, about six, seven months after the, uh, tumor was found, sapphire, the service dog died. So, according to this story, George Santos, under the name Anthony Devold, because according to reports, he believed that using a Jewish sounding name would look better scammed. This veteran said, I'll raise money and get your dog your surgery. He raised the money. Veteran never got the money, and the dog died. Now, this may not be at the top of the list of, you know, possibly illegal things that George Santos has done, but it is sure at the very top of the list of the most despicable things a human being can possibly do to another human being in need. It is because of George Santos that that dog died. That veteran could have done anything. He could have gone to any other charity, could have, you know, uh, uh, uh, done his own GoFundMe, but instead was told by the vet, I know a guy, he put all of his faith in Santos to save his dog's life and Santos screwed him over. This is the man that Kevin McCarthy says, no, we're not gonna boot him outta Congress. We're gonna leave him here. No matter how many horrible stories come out about Santos, no matter how many disgusting pieces of his past are put into big puzzle, nope. This is who George Santos, Anthony Dul, whatever the f he wants to call himself today, this is who he is. Not just a lying member of Congress, but a disgusting and despicable human being.
