Jungle Garden Overwintering Tour - Preparing Exotic Plants for Winter
Today's video is a walk around our North Lincolnshire jungle garden (approx. USDA zone 8a) in late October, talking about overwintering methods and winter care tips for our exotic plants and how they've changed in previous years. From the big tropical leaves like Ensete ventricosum 'Maurelii' and Musa basjoo banana plants to the graceful looking Dicksonia antarctica tree ferns and exotic bedding plants, today's video is a chat around most of the basics of how to look after these plants, when to start lifting / wrapping up / protecting your tropical style plants and the key tips and lessons the last five years in this garden have emphasised for me. I also mention which plants I use fleece or frost cloth to protect and how.
