Today's video is about when when to begin overwintering, wrapping, protecting, mulching & bringing in exotic and tropical style garden plants. A lot of the plants including bamboos & Trachycarpus palms I talk about are hardy, others like tree ferns and feather palms need some degree of winter protection whereas some have to come inside as houseplants before the first frosts. I've done specific plant overwintering guides for Tetrapanax, Dicksonia antartica tree ferns etc. but in this video I give an overview of when I do this and the factors that might affect this for your garden.
