Microsoft Excel Tutorial - Customize Your Excel Tables with Banded Rows. Welcome back to the MrExcel netcast! In yesterday's episode, we learned how to use the table functionality in Excel to create banded rows or green bar formatting. Today, we're going to take a deeper dive into this feature and learn how to customize it even further. To create a table with banded rows, we can use the Insert Table function or simply press CTRL+T. This will bring up a gallery of different table styles to choose from. However, don't feel limited by these options - you can create your own custom style as well. Simply right-click on a style you like and select "duplicate". This will create a copy of the style that you can then customize to your liking. In the video, I demonstrate how to change the color of the stripes in the table. By adjusting the stripe size and color, you can create a double green bar effect that is both visually appealing and easy to read. And the best part? You can save this custom style and set it as the default for all future tables you create. This means you won't have to go through the hassle of formatting each table individually - it will automatically have the double green bar style. The table functionality in Excel is truly amazing and makes formatting tables a breeze. In the past, we would have had to use complicated conditional formatting to achieve the same effect. But now, with just a few clicks, we can create professional-looking tables that are easy to read and understand.
