Want to Replace French Fries with CRISPY KETO CHIPS? I Tested 3 Low-Carb Chip Hacks a NEW WAY! (Which One Turned Out Best?) One of the biggest challenges for KETO and low-carb followers is that we miss chips! Lately, the internet has been buzzing about cottage cheese chips — just blend cottage cheese, spread it thin, and bake until crispy. Sounds simple enough… but does this actually work? I wondered if giving them more surface area would result in greater crunch. I found a great silicone honeycomb mold and crossed my fingers that it would work better. I tried making these 3 ways - with chives and onion powder, then with BBQ seasoning, because who doesn’t love BBQ chips? My final attempt, which I’ve made before, was straight Cheddar Cheese… but with a special twist! Guess which one worked out best? The honeycomb mold gave the chips great texture — but only ONE version actually turned out crispy… and it was actually the EASIEST version. Just go to: www.Ketoover50.com INGREDIENTS In this video, you’ll see me make the following chips: • Cottage cheese with chives & onion Use 1/2 C blended Cottage Cheese, sprinkle in chopped chives, & onion powder • Cottage cheese with BBQ seasoning Use 1/2 C blended Cottage Cheese, potato flavor extract, ½ Tsp BBQ seasoning powder • Classic cheddar cheese chips Use finely shredded, low carb cheddar cheese (enough to fill your molds, about 1/2 C to 1 C, depending on the size of your molds. This will affect your macros; just check your cheddar cheese package for nutrition/macros based on the quantity you used.) DIRECTIONS I made all 3 chips in a silicone mold placed on a parchment-lined cookie sheet. Bake at 400F for 15 – 20 minutes, as you’ll see in the video. Keep a close eye on them after 10 minutes, as different ovens will cook differently. Remove from oven once lightly browned and allow them to cool. Remove from the mold and let them cool a bit longer.
