Once again, I reached inside my closet and pulled out yet another sundress. Perfect. Silky and colorful, it looked great with my dark skin, if I did say so myself. Fifteen minutes later, I emerged from my room, the rainbow-colored dress swishing over my new white bikini. Grabbing my keys, I ran downstairs and selected a pair of strappy sandals that would go perfect with the dress. With one more glance in the mirror, I started towards my car, confident. The second I saw all the stunning girls along the beach, my confidence vanished. And then I saw Joe. Bronze and chiseled, the first thing I noticed was his bare chest. And I wasn't the only who noticed. Girls swarmed around him, girl who could've been supermodels, girls I'd never be able to compete with. Dejectedly, I looked down and slowed down my excited skip to a snail crawl, dreading the moment Joe'd see me and wave me away, turning back to the herd of girl flirting with him. Then he spotted me. Pushing through the crowd of ogling girls, he made his way toward me, the warm breeze blowing back his gorgeous hair. "Demi!" he waved, smiling at me. The girls turned towards me, envy apparent in their sharp gazes. And just like that, all the low self-esteem disappeared. I ran towards him and was met by his strong arms, enveloping me in a hug. "Come on," he beckoned, pulling me over to his beach towel. Girls parted for his godliness, not unlike the Red Sea. As we settled won on the huge plushy beach towel, the girls scattered, muttering under their breath. And for once, I didn't mind being the topic of their lowly gossip. Joe's Point Of View Turning my head, I glanced at Demi, who at the moment was struggling to get sunscreen on her back. "Here, let me get that for you," I offered, taking the sunscreen from her. I let my hands wander all over her back, lingering just a little too long in certain areas. Her warm skin felt good against my arms. "There, all done," I spoke, regretting that I didn't go slower. "Thanks," she responded, flashing her million-dollar smile at me. "Come on, let's go swimming," I suggested, gently pulling her towards the water. "Y-you know I can't swim Joe," she stuttered, terrified at the prospect of drowning. "I'll teach you," I told her. She shook her head again. "I promise, I won't let you get hurt, and that includes drowning," I promised, easily reading her mind. I lowered my voice, "Trust me." After some deep consideration on her part she nodded her head. I stared at her, waiting. "What?" she asked. "Aren't you gonna take of your dress?" I asked. "Oh right," she remembered, turning red. Sliding off her cover-up, she revealed a white bikini, making her tan look especially spectacular. And her. Ohmyshit. She was hot. And the best part was, she wasn't even aware of it. I could see it in her eyes she had no awareness whatsoever of the effect her body was putting me in. Comment. :)
