Remember December; Nemi Story; Episode 3

I cant fix Joe's part in the intro. So whatever. ------------------ "Alright, everyone, team up. We will throw some practice throws," The coach said. I looked at everyone as people got into groups of 2 and walked off into different directions. No one would want to be my partner because I'm a girl. Oh, whatever. If anything, I'll practice by myself. I looked around to see one person left. Joe Jonas. Nick's older brother. He was staring at me, slightly glaring. "You two are partners," The coach said, referring to me and Joe. I sighed and grabbed a football from a small bin that was placed next to the coaches legs. I and he walked off into a corner and I held the football tightly in my hands. I placed my fingers on the lace of the football and threw a perfect spiral to him. He caught it as if he were cuddling a baby. "Why are you really here?" He asked, not throwing the football back. I stared at him slightly confused, "The couch asked me to join the team and I said yes." "Or are you sure you aren't trying to get close to Nick?" Joe asked, slightly grinning. I stared at him silently for a few seconds but finally caught on, "You remember?" And he knew exactly what I was talking about. He nodded and smiled. "Wow, at least someone remembers. Nick doesn't have a clue about who I am." I sighed at the thought. Joe walked closer to me and put his arm across my shoulders, and then he turned us to look at Nick. Nick was glaring at us. Joe laughed. "He remembers, trust me." I looked up at Joe, "Then why is he so...mad? I haven't done anything," I said. Joe slightly shrugged then he let go of me, walking back to his spot. He threw the football to me and I caught it. After practice I walked alone to the parking lot and called my mom. She didn't answer at first so I called again. I dialed the number a few times until she finally answered. I told her to pick me up. After we both hung up, I looked at Nick. He was leaning against his car, staring at me with hatred in his eyes. I sighed and looked away. I didn't know what to do. He hated me because of his stupidity. I did nothing but still, I have to take all of the blame. Of course.
