Thursday's extended Cleveland weather forecast: Rainy day today, briefly colder next few days

Cleveland weather forecast for Thursday, February 22, 2024. Get ready for a rainy day across northern Ohio as a storm system slides through the Ohio Valley today. In terms of coverage, we'll be dealing with showers on radar all day long before showers clear out later this evening into tonight. We could see some locations pick up over an inch of rain today. While that may seem like a lot, we could actually use every drop as we've had a fairly dry month of February with most sites running an inch and a half below average. Today will likely bring a lot of us back to average in terms of monthly rainfall! Amazing how that works. Beyond this rain, we turn colder Friday and especially Saturday before temps rebound big time next week out ahead of a big storm system that will travel the entire country. Temps will likely surge into the 60s Tuesday and Wednesday next week with thunderstorms possible. At some point late Wednesday into Thursday we'll see a rapid temp drop with another brief shot of winter late next week! Here is your 3-day Cleveland weather forecast. Today: Rain continues on and off. Steady or slowly falling temps. Fog possible late. 40s. Friday: Morning fog then partly cloudy. Late day snow showers possible. Colder with highs near 40. Saturday: Morning fog then partly cloudy. Late day snow showers possible. Colder with highs near 40. At 3News, we’re here to share the stories that you say matter most to you.
