Cleveland weather forecast for Thursday, April 3, 2015. After another round of heavy rain and storms overnight into the early morning hours, we'll begin to quiet down today with lingering clouds and leftover showers. The frontal boundary responsible for all the rain and storms overnight will stall down to the south and will eventually come back with more waves of rain into the weekend. That's where our flood potential kicks back in after all of the soaking rain as of late. Let's not lose sight of the decent day we have ahead of us. The actual cold front lingers to our west -- so we're still in the "warm sector" of this entire system. The result will be a nice warm day with temps holding in the 60s with some humidity sticking around. Attention then turns toward this same frontal boundary as it returns late Friday with rounds of heavy rain heading back to northern Ohio. We have Weather Impact Alerts on Saturday and into Sunday as this repeated rain will cause flooding in northern Ohio. Confidence in this happening is high. Flood Watches are out from Arkansas through Ohio beginning Friday through Sunday. An early look would bring our first round of heavy rain through here Friday night into Saturday morning. We'd catch a break for a bit during the day Saturday before more rain and storms return late Saturday into Saturday night. Sunday would feature anything leftover before the system heads east. Overall, we're still looking at 3-6 inches of rain total by Sunday night. We then turn colder into next week and a system will dive south across the Great Lakes Monday afternoon. Rain will develop and changeover to snow Monday night. For the Guardians home opener, we're still expecting snow showers with highs only in the mid 30s. Not the best of days for baseball! Here is your 3-day Cleveland weather forecast: TODAY: Leftover periodic showers. Otherwise clouds with a few sun peeks. Still mild. Mid 60s. FRIDAY: Drying out briefly before showers return again late. Cooler with highs in the low 50s. SATURDAY: Rain likely, heavy at times early and then again late. Storms possible too. Low 60s.
