Covid-19: The loss of a loved one

Nursing staff in one of the Covid wards at St James’s Hospital have gathered to spend a final few moments with a dying patient. His family have allowed RTÉ to tell his story. Over the course of 30 days, RTÉ Investigates was provided with exclusive access to Dublin's St James's Hospital, showing for the first time the realities of life and death on Ireland's pandemic frontline. With the full co-operation of staff, patients and families, RTÉ had up to four camera operators filming in the hospital for up to 12 hours a day.
