Air Force Museum Evacuated After Fire Alarm

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE -- A fire alarm prompted an evacuation this afternoon at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.According to Wright-Patterson public affairs personnel, the sprinkler system was activated.According to museum visitors, an announcement prompted everyone out emergency exits. Air Force officials say the fire department responded but was unable to find any fire.Visitors were allowed back in to the museum after the all-clear, although cleanup of the water from the sprinklers continues.
