Emergency Hormonal Contraception- The University Of Manchester PHAR10400

The Pharmacists role is an integral part of the supply of Emergency Hormonal Contraception, as they are a non-judgmental service to purchase and seek expert advice about the types of contraception available. This allows the patient access to someone who is able to provide advice and information in a confidential consultation, in order to help alleviate any worries. If a patient is unable to receive EHC, a pharmacist would be able to refer you to a GP/ specialist for further help. References: nhs.uk. (2018). Emergency contraception (morning after pill, IUD).
