Full Hike from Ice House Canyon to Ontario Peak. There was ice all along the trail past Ice House Canyon. While I didn't have microspikes on, it is highly recommended. I was slipping and sliding all over the place, and took one good fall. I did have a walking stick with a spike on it, and that definitely did help. It can be done without stick or microspikes, but it would be extremely difficult. From reports of other hikers, Cucamonga peak is even more dangerous, and I wouldn't even think of attempting that one without microspikes and a familiarity with it. There was also a lot more downed trees along the path than I remembered. No branches, just trunks, and you can easily sit and scoot over them.
