In this SN1, SN2, E1 & E2 made easy video, we are going to look at the differences between SN1, SN2, E1 and E2 reactions and ultimately predict the dominating mechanism. How to decide between SN1, SN2, E1 and E2 reactions? Which mechanism will dominate? These are common questions that all organic chemistry students will ask at one point or another. It can get rather confusing trying to figure out the competing mechanisms and then predict the dominating mechanism, is it SN1, SN2, E1 or E2? We're going to look at a systematic way to make this prediction. We do so by asking 4 questions in a specific order.
