Orphaned Opossum Babies in Care at WildCare

These young opossums came in with their mother who had been hit by a car. Mom had significant injuries to her head, so the babies went into Foster Care with WildCare's Opossum Team leader. They will remain in care until they are old enough to be released back to the wild. In this video, the babies have just received a bath and are being toweled off. It is important to keep young animals like these warm until they are able to control their own body temperature.
