Widespread heavy rains across Texas Friday through Sunday

This morning, #thunderstorms dropped heavy #rain across the Coastal Plains, Victoria Crossroads, and Upper Texas Coast. A few rowdy #storms can't be ruled out. As we head into this afternoon, storms may expand north into East #Texas and Northeast Texas - with flash #flooding possible. We also could see the dryline become active late this afternoon across the Texas Panhandle, West Texas, and Permian Basin. Those storms may be rowdy with pocket-change size #hail and strong winds. Thursday looks like a calmer day in the #weather department across Texas. Friday, Saturday, and Sunday could feature higher-impact #hydrometeorological weather issues. Multiple rounds of heavy rainfall are expected, which will be good news for folks who need it - but not so good news for folks who end up with too much rain. Flooding is expected to become an increasingly common problem on Friday and Saturday across the eastern two-thirds of Texas. Low-water crossings and the typical street #flooding problem spots will be the first to have issues, but we may see more than that as rains continue to fall this weekend. Overall, widespread rain totals of 2 to 5 inches are expected - with localized amounts over 10 inches possible. #TXwx #TADD #txflood #texasflood #texasstormchasers Get the FREE Texas Storm Chasers Mobile App!
