USWA Championship Wrestling - 12/29/90 (1/5) - WMC & Nashville feeds (video isn't great on this but I've seen no other sources for this episode) Dave opens the show - He shows a new bounty has been placed and posters are now up on Eddie Gilbert. Eddie Gilbert interview - Gilbert thinks this is a stunt by Jerry Lawler. Bill Rush & Sgt. O'Reilly v The New Kids - Eddie Gilbert is on commentary and very upset about the bounty. Downtown Bruno interview - Bruno is concerned about the bounty and denies having anything to do with it. Freezer Thompson v Don Bass - Downtown Bruno is on commentary. His stable is now Bass, Terry Garvin & Alan Martin. He still wants to collect the bounty on Jerry Lawler. VTR: Jerry Lawler & Bam Bam Bigelow v Eddie Gilbert & Austin Idol - Footage starts with the post-match of a battle royal. Eddie Gilbert jumps Jerry Lawler as he's making a presentation to a fan. Austin Idol then comes in to double-team the King and collect the bounty. Bam Bam Bigelow makes the save and the match is on. The match ends with a big pull-apart. Dave runs down this Wednesday's card at MSC and talks about studio tickets Jerry Lawler interview - Lawler isn't behind the bounty on Eddie Gilbert but he loves to see it. He also claims there is friction between Gilbert and Austin Idol because Hot Stuff never told the Universal Heartthrob that Bam Bam Bigelow was on the opposing team. Lawler claims Idol almost left when he found out. This week's tag rematch is no DQ. VTR: Bam Bam Bigelow interview Ronnie Leach v Danny Davis VTR: Danny Davis v Joseph Magliano - Eddie Gilbert KOs Davis with a chain so Maglino can win the USWA Jr. title Danny Davis interview - Davis is all fired up and screaming for Joseph Magliano. Magliano comes out and Davis spits in his face. Doug Gilbert & Tony Anthony then grab Davis so Maglino can slap him around. Ben Jordan & TD Steel v Tony Anthony & Doug Gilbert - Jerry Lawler joins commentary. Anthony & Gilbert keep working over Jordan & Steel after the win. Lawler decides to break it up and gets jumped by Don Bass & Downtown Bruno. Lawler chases both guys off.
