USWA Championship Wrestling – 8/4/90 (8/11) - WMC & Evansville Dave opens the show - For whatever reason, YouTube is now making me mute the opening theme song due to copywright. Sigh. Joey Maggs & Rex King v Twilight Zone - Twilight Zone are two masked guys named Quasar (Tony Williams) & Nebula (Brian Lawler). So in essence you have Brian Christopher's first appearance. Snowman v Jeff Gaylord - Downtown Bruno joins commentary. When Snowman gains the advantage Bruno, Brian Lee & Don Harris all run in. Ken Wayne makes the save with a board. Ken Wayne & Snowman interview Dave promotes this week's tour Jerry Lawler & Bill Dundee interview - They're promoting the good guys versus bad guys softball game in Millington TN. VTR: Jerry Lawler & Bill Dundee v Eddie Gilbert & Tony Anthony - MSC - Texas Death Match - Tom Burton, Dirty White Girl and Tessa are all ringside. Gilbert is bleeding badly. He takes a stuff piledriver from Dundee & Lawler for a pinfall. During the 30-second recovery period, Sam Lowe, a ringside photographer who has been in the background on TV for months, KOs Lawler by smashing his camera into the King's head. Gilbert is able to answer the bell for the win. The heels then handcuff Tessa to the turnbuckle and strip her clothes off while Lowe, Gilbert & the Dirty White Boys hand out a long beating. Lawler recovers and clears house with a baseball bat. Jerry Lawler & Bill Dundee interview - Interesting as Lawler notes that Sam Lowe cost Jerry last week's match but, oddly, that match wasn't shown in syndication. VTR: Tessa interview - She and Dirty White Girl will go in a back alley street brawl this week (basically an evening gown match but less "classy") Dirty White Boys v Tim Hall & Ken Raper Tony Anthony, Dirty White Girl & Eddie Gilbert interview - Eddie notes he is a long-time friend of Sam Lowe and the coffee Anthony threw was cold. Dave & Wayne Bright run down Monday's card Eddie Marlin interview - Eddie calls out Sam Lowe and officially bans him from ringside. That brings out Eddie Gilbert who has hired the former photographer as his new manager. Marlin says if Lowe will be ringside, he'll be handcuffed to Marlin. Bill Dundee v Eddie Gilbert - Tony Anthony runs in for a DQ. Jerry Lawler comes in with baseball bats to make the save. USWA mascot Bundy the Gorilla hits the ring and attacks Lawler. Bundy pulls off his mask to reveal John Tatum. Dave declares "that's not the real Bundy the Gorilla." Dundee & Lawler get bloodied up with the bats. John Tatum, Tony Anthony, Dirty White Girl & Eddie Gilbert interview - Tatum announces he's made good on his vow of revenge from a month ago. Eddie says this was all part of his plan. Dave Brown discovers the real Bundy the Gorilla bound and gagged in the studio hallway. VTR: Studio tickets promo Jerry Lawler & Bill Dundee interview - They're still bloodied and announce that he just telephoned Austin Idol. Idol will join them Monday night to make it three on three. Dave runs down Monday's card Downtown Bruno, Don Harris & Brian Lee interview - Bruno announces Harris & Lee are his new team. Brian Lee & Don Harris v TD Steel & Freezer Thompson - Downtown Bruno joins commentary.
