✨A Light 💡 in the Night🌙 Hey everyone! 🌟 Tonight, I want to share a little GEM 💎 from my evening DEVOTION that hit home for me, and I believe it will for you too! We're talking about TESTING the spirits. I heard a powerful sermon this morning on idolatry 💔 from Jerry Flowers Ministries 🔥and this has been on my heart ever since! What’s more is in today's world, FILLED with tricks and CONFUSION, this is more relevant than ever! 🌍✨ The Bible CLEARLY warns us that we're in times of GREAT DECEPTION. Even the ELECT, God’s CHOSEN ones, can fall prey if they're not deeply ROOTED in His word 📖. "Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God..." (1 John 4:1). This is how we guard against being misled. So, what does it mean to TEST the spirits? 🤔 It’s all about checking whether something aligns with God’s TRUTH 🕊️. Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, but any spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God (1 John 4:2-3). This means we must be vigilant, asking God for WISDOM and discernment in every situation 💪🏾. Here are a few ways we can TEST the spirits today: 🙏🏾 PRAY for guidance and clarity from the Holy Spirit. 📖 COMPARE what you hear to what the Bible says. If it doesn’t align, it’s not from God! 🤝🏾 SEEK counsel from mature Christians who walk in faith and wisdom.
