✨A Light 💡in the Night🌙 Hello everyone! 🌟 Tonight, as I reflect, I’m moved to discuss a pressing issue: Why are you truly attending your church? 🤔 Is it the amenities like a coffee bar ☕️, full-service daycare 👶🏽, or the dazzling lights and concert-style worship 🎤 that attract you? Or is it something more? It's troubling when the trappings of modern churches— stadium-like venues 🏟️ , booming social media 📱, and Universal Studio-grade props 🎬—distract us from the pure, unadulterated WORD of GOD. In our quest for SIGNS and guidance, we might MISS what’s truly important. Moreover, it's concerning when admiration 🤩 for church leaders becomes more like celebrity worship. 🌟 Yes, respecting leaders is good, but when it overshadows the GOSPEL, sound doctrine, or right division of the WORD, it becomes a PROBLEM 👿. We must remember, as believers, to "test the spirits" (1 John 4:1) and ensure what we hear aligns with scripture. 📖 Sadly, some leaders do not deliver SOUND DOCTRINE, yet congregations respond with applause. 🤯🚫 They say ‘Amen’ to glaring errors spoken from the pulpit. We must ask ourselves: What draws us to these places? Is it the glitz and popularity, the elevation of man over GOD? 🙏🏽 Let’s be like the Bereans (Acts 17:11)—always examining 🔎 SCRIPTURES to verify teachings. We cannot afford to be passive; bad doctrine affects us too. Not only will the false teacher be held accountable for teaching it, we’ll be held accountable for following it. 📚 So, be diligent. Study the WORD for yourself. Be able to recognize TRUTH and detect DECEPTION. As deception increases (Matthew 24:24), knowing the real from the false is crucial.
