Web Event - Child welfare in the midst of the pandemic | LIVE STREAM

COVID-19 and the ensuing lockdown have presented a real shock to the child welfare system. Reports of abuse and neglect have fallen rapidly, but actual abuse has been on the rise in some areas. And with schools closed, we cannot see a lot that is happening in at-risk children’s lives. The pandemic has resulted in a reduced child welfare workforce, overwhelmed family courts, and an even greater shortage of foster homes. Please join AEI for a dynamic conversation about the state of child welfare during this time and what government and private citizens can do to help.
