Billy Joel Live At The CoreStates Center, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania February 5th, 1998 Audience Recording Sound Quality: A- After the two recent 1980s uploads, I have once again decided to head back to the 1990s era of Billy Joel live with, in fact another show from the 1998-99 Greatest Hits tour with, this upload being Billy's fantastic fourth show on the entire tour in Philadelphia! Which, just like the previous night displays a inspired performance from everyone in the band tonight. The early 1998 period has always been one of my favourite Billy Joel live eras mainly due to the fact that, around this time Billy had really seemed to be at his peak vocally displaying some of his best vocals ever to be recorded by the audience and, due to the fact that even some of the people in the Billy Joel community seem to really enjoy this era as well so, for this upload I'd like to dedicate this show to them. Performance-wise this is yet another top-tier show in Billy's live performances with everyone truly being in fantastic shape tonight and, a lot of great renditions of songs being performed tonight which, will be talked about later when we reach the highlights section of this description but, overall this is a show that shouldn't be missed by anyone who is getting into the 1990s shows or, are just getting into the 1998 era alone due to how brilliant this show is from start to finish. Coming from a well-known audience film of the show, this recording really does seem to pick up the fantastic atmosphere of the show while, also capturing all of the music that was played tonight with, hardly any cuts at all throughout so, this is a very smooth listening expeirence for listeners as well! Highlights for this early 1998 show include the following performances: Movin' Out with the fantastic 1998 embellishments from Billy. The Ballad Of Billy The Kid with this rendition being an elite version with a top-tier combination of great vocals and muscianship. Vienna which happens to be one of the best versions ever with phenomenal vocals from Billy's side of things while showing great vocal dynamics as well. My Life with a great intro jam and as usual for the era, Billy oversinging the song in a fun way and Sometimes A Fantasy with the usual brilliant muscianship from 1998 along with Billy sounding good on the song.
