Natural Pest Control on Garden or Farm || Permaculture

------ ------ ------ ------ ------ ------ ------ Permaculture teaches one to look at a system holistically. When you are gardening or farming try to look at the relationships between different elements, observe the various 'cycles' happening on your garden/farm and try to incorporate these into your design! When a pest is looked at as a problem it seems as an enemy which needs to be dealt with heavy hand (pesticides - organic or may be even chemical). But when 'pests' are looked as a part of a bigger web, we see them as a food for predators! Once such relationships are understood and the balance is tilt into your favour through design (incorporating diversity, stacking plants and creating niches for a diverse habitat able to house different types of insects etc.), gardening/farming is pure fun! Hope you too are able to see the magic of nature up close in your home garden :) The awesome home garden belongs to Sanjay Mc ! Hopefully more videos of his garden soon :) ------ ------ ------ ------ ------ ------ ------ Featured in this video: Beneficial Lady Bird/Bug/Beetle - Cheilomenes sexmaculata (Fabricius). It is aphidophagous (feeds on aphids), also feeds on psyllids, whiteflies, mealybugs, tingids, leaf- and planthoppers, mites, and early instar lepidopteran larvae. ------ ------ ------ ------ ------ ------ ------
