Try this recipe and tell me — do you like your dahi baingan mild or slightly spicy? 😍👇 Ingredients Curd - 400 Gms To Marinate Baingan Baingan - 2 Nos Turmeric Powder - 1 Tsp Kashmiri Chilli - 2 Tsp Salt - 1 1/2 Tsp To Make Onion Tadka Oil - 3 Tsp Mustard Seeds - 1 Tsp Red Chilli - 2 Nos Hing Onion - 1 No. Chilli Powder - 1 Tsp Salt - 1/2 Tsp Cumin Powder - 1 Tsp method Wash and slice 2 medium brinjals into evenly sized pieces, not too thin or too thick. Transfer the slices to a bowl and add 1 teaspoon turmeric powder, 3 teaspoons Kashmiri chilli powder, 1½ teaspoons salt, and 1 teaspoon oil. Mix well and marinate for 10 minutes. Heat a tawa with a little oil on medium-low flame. Place the marinated brinjal slices on the tawa and roast them till golden on both sides. Flip once or twice and add a little oil if required. Once done, remove and keep aside. In a separate bowl, take fresh curd and whisk it well until smooth and creamy. For the onion tempering, heat 3 teaspoons oil in a small pan. Add 1 teaspoon mustard seeds, 2 dried red chillies, and a pinch of hing. Then add 1 large finely chopped onion and sauté for about 2 minutes. Then add 1 teaspoon chilli powder, ½ teaspoon salt, and 1 teaspoon cumin powder. Mix well and cook for 2–3 minutes. Finally, pour the whisked curd over the roasted brinjals, top with the prepared onion tempering, mix gently, garnish with fresh coriander leaves, and serve with rice or roti.
