What might be the Pac-12 Conference's next move? l Pac-12 Podcast
The days in which the Pac-12 continues to exist appear to be numbered with USC/UCLA's departure for the Big 10, combined with increased talks of further conference shakeups. Many Pac-12 fans continue to wonder what their school might do next, and whether or not the conference can find a way to survive in the long term. At this point in time, it does not seem like surviving for the Pac-12 is a likely outcome. On today's episode of Locked On Pac-12, Spencer McLaughlin is joined by Richie Bradshaw of Locked on Sun Devils. Its his dream, and that of many ASU/Pac-12 fans, to see his team make it to the Rose Bowl--a dream that could possibly only (for sure) be in play for 2 more years. If the Pac-12 can't keep the teams that remain (notably Oregon, Utah, Washington), the Rose Bowl Committee would certainly have to re-evaluate who gets to play in the 'Grandaddy of them All' in Pasadena. Rumors of a Pac-12/Big 12 partnership in which west coast schools join the Big 12 have also been making the rounds--and there's a reason. The two conferences now find themselves in somewhat similar places, making a potential partnership (of joining schools) to legitimize one BIGGER conference might be smart.
