This round of conference realignment is still waiting on its final domino from the Pac-12 with whatever media deal and expansion move they end up going with. As college football (and basketball) plays out in the coming years, there are several programs to keep an eye on to see if they elevate their brands to grab the attention of power 5 conferences--mostly the Big 12 and the Pac-12. On today's episode of Locked On Pac-12, Spencer McLaughlin also discusses the often-discussed "blue chip ratio" which indicates only 2 Pac-12 schools could win a national championship this year (Oregon and USC). It does not mean, however, that only those 2 schools could win the Pac-12 and get to the College Football Playoff. The Big 10 has made it clear they don't want to add any more west coast schools at this time beyond USC and UCLA.
