Caramelised Banana Cake| Upside Down Banana Cake| Banana Cake

CARAMELISED BANANA CAKE / BANANA UPSIDE DOWN CAKE #bananacake, #bananaupsidedowncake, #caramelisedbananacake For the Caramelised Banana: 1 big ripe banana 3 tbsp butter (I used regular salted butter) 5-6 tbsp Sugar (preferably brown sugar; I used gud or jaggery) Heat the butter in a saucepan and add the sugar. Cook it at slow heat till you get a kind of sauce. Add in the banana slices and let them cook on low heat for 3-4 minutes. Turn the banana slices over and cook again for about 3 minutes. Now Pour this into the baking tin in which you plan to bake the cake. FOR THE CAKE BATTER: (this will make a 5 inch cake) 1 cup flour 2 tsp baking powder 1 cup sugar ½ cup oil ½ cup milk Vanilla essence Cinnamon powder Mix everything in a big bowl with a spoon till you get a smooth batter. Pour this batter evenly over the caramelised banana base in the baking tin. Bake it at 180C for 30-35 minutes. Let it cool substantially before you turn it out.
