'They need mercy': Parents take plea deal after 7-year-old's death

Both parents of a 7-year-old boy who was hit and killed by a car in Gastonia in May have now accepted plea agreements in Gaston County court. Samuele Jenkins and his wife, Jessica Ivey, were charged with involuntary manslaughter and child neglect after their son's death. The charges came after the couple allegedly let their children walk about two blocks home without an adult.
