Mom Begs for Mercy After Pitbull Killed Her Baby

On Wednesday, Alyssa Smith addressed the court during her sentencing hearing. She and Blake Bates were arrested in 2024 after their dog reportedly attacked and killed their 6-month-old child, Royal. Smith said that when everything happened, she was in shock and has recently started grieving the loss of her son. She also said this whole experience has been hard on her, as this is the first time she has gotten into trouble.
