RBI's decision on MPC is awaited; key factors to look for | ET Now Poll

Reserve Bank of India's decision on the MPC meeting is still awaited. But according to the ET polls, it is likely that the RBI will keep the interest rates unchanged amidst the steady uptick being witnessed in inflation. The stance may also remain accommodative as the Central Bank also has another target of reviving economic growth. RBI is most likely going to keep the status quo, in terms of the repo rate, along with an accommodative stance. The reason behind this is that there is persistently high inflation. Both the CPI remains high and the pressure on the supply side continues to persist. Most high-frequency indicators show recovery. RBI is also likely to revise both growth and inflation projections.
