Alzheimer's Association Honors Caregivers at Gala

DAYTON -- It was all glitz and glamor Saturday night at the Masonic Center. More than 500 people came together for the Believe Gala and Spirit of Hope Awards. The event was emceed by ABC22/FOX45's own Jackie Couture. Organizers say they wanted to celebrate the caregivers of Alzheimer's patients. It's a thankless job. Some of them are not even working. They're caring for their mothers, fathers, husbands, wives. They are dealing with this 24 hours a day. They're dealing with this, said organizer Mark Anderson.All of the proceeds from the gala will go toward the Miami Valley Alzheimer's Association.
