Pork Adobo is a pork marinade & cooked in soy sauce, vinegar & garlic it is considered as the Philippine National dish because of its popularity. The Siopao it is a steamed buns popularized by a Chinese immigrants Mr. Ma Wen Lu the owner of Ma Mun Luk . He was well known to served Mami with a side siopao. Through the years Filipino chefs and cooks created a lot of fillings of this steamed bun. I heard that there is a restaurant in Iloilo Philippines serving Adobo Siopao the Roberto’s that’s why I tried. However, my adobo is best to pair with steamed rice 😃👍. Try to add more brown sugar to make it sweeter. Pork Adobo Siopao 2 lbs or 1kg. Pork shoulder sliced into small pieces skin removed 1/2C Soy Sauce 1/2C Vinegar 1C Lemon Soda Sprite / 7up 2T Oyster Sauce 1 Tsp Crushed black pepper 2 pcs bay leaf 1 head bulb garlic 2T Garlic Powder 2T Brown sugar you can add more if your like your adobo to be more sweeter 2T Cornstarch + 1/4C water Salt & pepper to taste Note: cooking is all about our own taste you can modify/add the flavor accordingly For Siopao Dough: 3 tsp Instant Dry Yeast 1 1/2T white sugar 3/4C warm water 3 3/4 C sifted all purpose flour 3T white Sugar 1Tsp salt ( optional the adobo filling is already flavorful that’s why remove the salt) 3/4C evaporated milk 3T Lard softened butter or cooking oil 3tsp baking powder Yellow & red food coloring use a toothpick to drop Other fillings: Sliced boiled eggs Chinese Sausage or chorizo ———————————- If you like this video don’t forget to press the like button and share this video.
