Sharel Fraser was awarded in the past the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal for her vast array of commemorative initiatives engaging youth with Veterans. Sharel Fraser one of the main organisers behind setting up the "Salute To Veterans" event at BC Place on Nov 5th, 2011, during halftime of CFL Game between BC and Montreal. Sharel talks about how when she use to work for Veterans Affairs, prior to her retirement, she helped set up Veterans commemorative program in the Province of British Columbia in the late 90s. Prior to this date, there were hardly any commemorative programs in place for Veterans. Sharel also talked about programs she helped set up in Veterans Affairs and The Royal Canadian Legion to help Veterans with PTSD. And much more.
