MOSCOW, Idaho — Moscow murder suspect Bryan Kohberger allegedly posted in an online forum struggles with mental health and thoughts of suicide. The posts are believed to have been written by Kohberger between 2009 and 2012. In the posts first reported by the New York Times on Jan. 13, Kohberger posted in a forum devoted to a condition called visual snow syndrome. The condition is a disorder that causes someone to see static. In 2010, he posted: "My mind is never not on visual snow... This whole thing has made me crazy, I feel like my life is pointless because people can think about times with parents, childhood memories, and be happy, and I won't be able to." He also said his "mean" behavior started when the visual snow conditions did. Kohberger wrote he experienced depression, a "constant thought of suicide," and "delusions of grandeur." He also said: "As I hug my family, I look into their faces, I see nothing, it is like I am looking at a video game, but less." He allegedly made 118 posts under the username "exarr." Right now, Kohberger has not entered a plea.
