Most ORB traders lose because they don’t define what a real breakout is. This short explains how breakout distance and midpoint retests work in an opening range break strategy. A breakout only counts when price moves at least a set number of points outside the range, then comes back to retest the midpoint. You can choose wick or candle body confirmation. Once the criteria is met, the indicator fires a signal. If price re-enters the range, the setup is invalidated automatically. No guessing. No forcing trades. This keeps you out of weak breakouts and helps you focus on structure, risk, and execution instead of noise. This applies to day trading, futures, and funded accounts. #daytrading #futures #orb #openingrangebreakout #riskmanagement #tradingpsychology #quantcrawler #breakouttrading #midpointretest #traderdiscipline #consistency #fundedaccounts
